Your Voice Is Already a Business Plan
Not a metaphor. A map. One your body has known all along.
Forget Funnels. You Were Born With One. It’s Called Your Voice!
HAPPY WORLD VOICE DAY!
And I have a perfect post to celebrate…
What you’re about to see, I didn’t borrow from a book or a methodology.
I built it—and not just by studying too much in school to get my doctoral degree—by paying attention to what my voice was doing when the money wasn’t flowing.
When I was overgiving.
When I wasn’t charging enough.
When my clients couldn’t hear themselves.
I started listening deeper.
And what I found was a business model already encoded in the body.
This post is the first time I’ve laid it out publicly. And it’s just the beginning!
Your Voice Is Already a Business Plan!
Most entrepreneurs think of their business as something built from scratch—offers, pricing, content, strategy.
But if you’ve ever studied the human voice, you’ve already had a masterclass in structure, flow, and power.
Your voice is a living business map.
And every part of it—from your breath and bones to your resonance chambers and reflexes—has something to teach you about money, leadership, and self-worth.
Voice Is Not just a Metaphor. It’s a Mirror.
Your voice is the original site of clarity, power, and congruence.
It reveals what you’re holding back, forcing forward, avoiding, or suppressing.
And so does your business.
If your voice strains, your business probably does too.
If your voice disappears under pressure, so does your pricing.
If your tone isn’t resonant, your messaging probably isn’t either.
The Voice-to-Business Map
Earlier this month, I was doing some “spring cleaning” and came across a folder with materials from one of my graduate vocal pedagogy classes. I started to contemplate how I could incorporate some of the material into my work.
And the more I thought of it, the more I realized how so much of the structure and design of the voice is analogous to the structure and design of a business.
So without further ado, here’s how different parts of your voice directly reflect your income behavior and business structure:
Diaphragm → Self-command.
This is your internal power source.
No breath = no voice. No boundaries = no income.
Intercostals → Revenue bandwidth.
Your ability to expand and hold more—without collapsing under pressure.
Vocal folds → Message clarity.
Your true sound.
When they’re aligned, people hear you.
When they’re not, everything gets muffled.
Vocalis muscle → Mastery-level nuance.
Not just what you say—but how finely tuned you are in saying it.
Thyroarytenoid → Precision in pricing.
The muscle that lets you shift tone with accuracy—
just like pricing with confidence.
Cricoid cartilage → Financial foundation.
It’s what your whole voice rests on.
In business?
That’s stable income.
Thyroid cartilage → Brand projection.
What gives shape and presence to your outward identity.
Epiglottis → Discernment.
It knows when to open and when to protect.
So should your calendar. And your PR strategy.
Arytenoids → Boundaries.
Your ability to say “yes” or “no” to energetic output.
False vocal folds → Scarcity patterns.
They try to help—
but usually block the real sound.
Soft palate → Receiving capacity.
Lifting this opens your resonance—and in business, your ability to receive money, praise, and support.
Hard palate → Delivery structure.
The solid framework that lets your ideas land crisply.
Pharynx → Client experience.
Shapes how your sound is felt.
In business, this is your tone of service.
Nasopharynx → Energetic calibration.
Governs the subtle balance of visibility, pressure, and perception.
Tongue & articulators → Sales language.
The asking, the clarity, the finesse.
Beyond the Voice—Your Whole System Is Speaking
Your voice doesn’t stop at your throat. Some of your most critical business wisdom lives in the parts of your body that support, regulate, and amplify the voice.
Pelvic floor → Nervous system safety + income stability.
This is your root. When it’s collapsed, so is your cashflow.
Hyoid bone → Creative sovereignty.
The only bone not attached to another.
That’s your independent leadership—free to move, still centered.
Uvula → Energetic filtering.
The reflex that keeps distortion out of your tone.
It’s how you say just enough—and no more.
Cricotracheal membrane → Integrity linkage.
The tissue that connects your breath to your voice.
In business, it’s the alignment between your values and your message.
Sphenoidal sinus → Vision spaciousness.
Deep inside your skull, this cavity helps you resonate from within. This is your strategy space, your sense of timelessness, and your ability to lead long-term.
Why This Actually Matters
Your voice doesn’t lie.
And neither does your business.
If your voice is:
Overworked → your business probably is too
Muffled → your message isn’t landing
Tense → your pricing might be compensating for internal doubt
But when your breath flows, your tone lands, and your resonance opens up?
So does your business.
When I finally stopped treating my voice as a skill and started listening to it as a structure—
everything changed.
Sales got easier.
Boundaries got clearer.
My pricing stopped wobbling.
And my business finally started to breathe.
If your income feels misaligned, it might not be a mindset issue.
It might be structural.
And your voice has been trying to show you the whole time.
